This workshop is designed to help students think about how their degree is preparing them for the world of work. Encouraging reflection on their own learning, the workshop uses the Subject Centre’s employability guide Where next? Unlocking the potential of your philosophy degree (provided) as a basis for discussion.
The workshop covers:
- An introduction to the concept of transferable skills, and an overview of the skills that philosophical study develops.
- An exploration of the skills that employers want in graduates who work for them.
- Methods for demonstrating how the two sets overlap.
