This follow-on workshop to Philosophy and Teaching focuses on deeper philosophical questions in education, such as the nature of knowledge and empiricism, learning and constructivism, and the teaching of abstract ideas and critical thinking.
The workshop provides:
- An introduction to some themes in the philosophy of education.
- A philosophical insight into current work in pedagogy in educational development.
- A forum for critically examining the role of philosophy in developing future educational research.
