This one day event was aimed at those who are relatively new to teaching, or those who are planning to begin a career in academia in the UK, working in the following areas:

  • Philosophy
  • Religious Studies
  • Theology
  • Biblical Studies
  • History and Philosophy of Science, Technology and Medicine

This workshop offered an opportunity for aspiring academics to gather and share information and advice, and to develop the skills necessary for a successful academic career. The event was be useful both for those already teaching and researching in departments, and those hoping to start their academic careers soon. It also provided a chance to meet fellow academics from all over the country.

This annual event has proved to be exceptionally popular in the past, with attendees commenting:
